Sydney CBD | 2–4 PQE | Permanent Role
We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded In-House Lawyer (approximately 2–4 years PQE) to join a Sydney-based renewable energy and infrastructure business involved in the development of large-scale clean energy projects across Australia.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with major project teams across the full lifecycle of renewable energy assets, including generation, transmission-adjacent infrastructure, and energy storage projects.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will play a key role supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure and energy projects from early-stage development through to construction and operations.
You will work in a collaborative in-house environment alongside project, engineering, commercial, and finance teams, gaining broad exposure to high-value transactions and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing legal support across renewable energy and infrastructure project development
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial agreements (including EPC, O&M, supply, land access, and consultancy agreements)
- Assisting with project financing and transaction documentation
- Advising on procurement, regulatory, and risk matters
- Supporting construction and operational project phases
- Managing external counsel where required
About You
- 2–4 years post-admission experience (PQE)
- Background in projects, infrastructure, construction, energy, or corporate/commercial law
- Strong drafting and contract negotiation skills
- Interest in renewable energy and large-scale infrastructure development
- Commercially astute with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Prior in-house or private practice experience in a relevant practice area desirable
