Role Overview Taggart & Partners is seeking a Business Advisory & Tax Accountant to join our boutique firm in Brisbane CBD. This role combines technical tax compliance with business advisory responsibilities, working closely with a diverse portfolio of clients to deliver tailored solutions that support their growth and compliance needs.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review taxation returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, companies and BAS/IAS as required.

Deliver business advisory services including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, management reporting and performance analysis.

Provide proactive tax planning and structuring advice to minimise liabilities and support client objectives.

Build and maintain strong client relationships; act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.

Liaise with clients, ATO and external stakeholders to resolve tax and compliance matters.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and year-end processes in accordance with accounting standards.

Mentor and support junior staff; contribute to continuous improvement of firm processes and client service offerings.

Stay up to date with tax legislation and regulatory changes and communicate implications to clients.
About You
-
Qualified or near-qualified CA/CPA accountant with solid experience in tax compliance and advisory.

Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation (individuals, trusts, companies, and GST/BAS).

Proven experience in business advisory services, including budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.

Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.

Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced boutique environment.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

High attention to detail and professional integrity.
